What: Finding out about the effects that different colors have on different people.

Where: In the United States of America
Why: Researchers want to know more about the world around us, and what affect that world has on us.
In the article, they write a lot about what the colors mean. Here are some of the colors the talked about. "Black is the color of authority and power.", "The most emotionally intense color, red stimulates a faster heartbeat and breathing. It is also the color of love.", "The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is one of the most popular colors. It causes the opposite reaction as red. Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms.", "Currently the most popular decorating color, green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. It is a calming, refreshing color.", "Cheerful sunny yellow is an attention getter. While it is considered an optimistic color, people lose their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and babies will cry more.", "Men are more apt to say brown is one of their favorite colors."
Above are some quotes from the passage I found interesting. I agree with the statement about black being the color of authority and power, and also agree that red is the most emotionally intense color. It would make sense why people often wear red to show love, as they often wear red on valentines day. However, I disagree when they say blue causes the opposite reaction to red, more calm, peaceful. I think red is a peaceful color, but just not as peaceful as blue. I agree green is a very calming color, but I also think that green is a very happy color. I agree with the statement that the color yellow gets attention. Yellow is a generally bright, summer color, so it will pop on most backgrounds getting your attention. When the article said, "Men are more apt to say brown is one of their favorite colors," that really got my attention. I think that was because from what I know from personal experience, boys generally like brown more than girls do. I think that color psychology is very fascinating and i would love to study it more and conduct my own experiments.

wait..
i LIKE the color blue....
i think its calming AND peaceful.
i think red symbolizes anger, because of the expression "seeing red" when you're angry
and i agree with green as a nature and soothing color. also, the yellow color would possibly make people lose their temper because the color is all cheery when their not happy all the time? anyway...
BLUE is better then RED. LOL
